Disruptive Technologies — vendor specifics
DT Service Account, Project, and per-site device selection — what you do in DT Studio and in our wizard.
Disruptive Technologies (DT) is a wireless IoT sensor platform — small adhesive sensors talk to a Cloud Connector, the Cloud Connector forwards readings to the DT cloud, and the platform reads them through the DT Service Account API. Devices in DT are organised under Projects; one Project usually maps to one site, but the same Service Account can cover several Projects.
What you do in DT Studio
- Create or sign in to a DT Studio organisation at studio.disruptive-technologies.com.
- Create a Project for this site (or pick the existing one if it is already set up).
- Add the Cloud Connector(s) and claim each sensor under the Project.
- Label every sensor with a clear name — the labels you set here become the readings the platform will see.
Create a Service Account
In DT Studio, create a Service Account and generate a key for it. DT issues three values:
- Key ID — the public identifier for the Service Account key.
- Secret — the long secret value paired with the Key ID. Treat it like a password; it is shown once on creation.
- Service Account email — the email address shown for the Service Account in DT Studio. Our credential form requires it; check with DT Studio whether the exact value matters or any account email will do.
Disruptive Technologies — installation planning
What you do in the wizard
- Step 2 — Integrations & Discovery: choose Disruptive Technologies, paste the Key ID, Secret, and Service Account email as a new credential, then click Verify. The platform lists Projects with the credential — a green tick means it works.
- Pick the Project for this site from the discovered list (or, if there is only one, the wizard auto-selects it).
- On the same step, the discovered device list appears for the chosen Project. Tick the devices that belong to this site and untick the rest.
- No address-list CSV upload — discovery replaces it.
- No watchdog needed — DT is read-only from our side.
