Hardware installation

What to expect when our team installs control hardware on site — what we ask for ahead of time, what install day looks like, what comes next.

#hardware#install

Hardware install is coordinated directly with us — there is no self-service install flow today. This guide is what to expect: the information we will ask for ahead of install day, what an install visit looks like, and what we hand back to you afterwards.

What we will ask before install day

  1. Site basics — address, contact on site, access hours, parking / loading.
  2. What we are connecting to — AHU make and model, control cabinet brand, any existing BMS or controllers that will stay in place alongside our hardware.
  3. Existing wiring — photos of the control cabinet and any spare terminals, plus the building's low-voltage diagram if you have one.
  4. Network — whether the site has wired internet near the cabinet, what kind of switch / router is in place, and who manages it (in-house IT, landlord, ISP).
  5. Power and physical layout near the cabinet — we will work out the exact requirements (outlet type, dedicated circuit, electrician needed) with you once we know the gateway model that fits the site.

Planning the visit

Once we have the information above, we will agree the install plan with you — what we will do on the day, how long we expect to need, who needs to be present, and whether anything (occupied hours, ventilation downtime, electrician work) needs scheduling around. Site shape varies a lot, so this is a per-site conversation rather than a fixed checklist.

After install day

You can then run the new-site wizard against the gateway exactly the same way as for any BMS — the wizard will discover the points the gateway exposes, you review them, and the platform takes over from there. The "After go-live" guide covers the first-day checks once the wizard is done.
